EDAR 360

Artificial intelligence to digitize wastewater treatment processes

EDAR 360

The EDAR 360 project aims to develop digital technological solutions that guarantee optimal sanitation management, optimizing wastewater treatment processes, and achieving full protection of the related cyber-physical systems.

To this end, different artificial intelligence, computer vision and data processing techniques are being implemented. These solutions are being applied in three different wastewater treatment plants in Galicia, all of them managed by Viaqua. The implementation of these techniques allows a greater and more complete monitoring of the different processes of the installation, which significantly reduces the reaction times to undesirable and unexpected events that may occur.

As part of the Conecta Hubs 2021 programme, EDAR 360 is a project subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and co-financed by ERDF funds within the framework of the Feder Galicia 2014-2020 operational programme.

Duration: June 2021 - April 2023
