Promoting nutrient circularity, combining innovation with scalable solutions

Project website

NPOWER

NPower aims to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus emissions and restore balance in nutrient flows in key sectors. By promoting nutrient recovery technologies, good management practices and governance measures, the project will contribute to a more efficient and circular use of nutrients, minimising environmental impact and promoting sustainability in agriculture and industry.

During the project, six innovative technological solutions for nutrient recovery will be demonstrated and eight recovered fertilisers will be obtained. In addition, best management practices will be defined for rural, coastal, urban and industrial environments, a kit of innovative governance measures will be developed, and four regional clusters will be created.
