LIFE Remine Water

By-product recovery and ZLD in the mining industry.

LIFE Remine Water

One of the environmental challenges facing the mining sector is the reuse of all its wastewater into the environment and the recovery of the high-value metals contained in its wastewater.

The LIFE Remine Water project aims to develop a pilot-scale treatment system for the mining industry that combines electrochemical and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technologies to recover copper and zinc for reuse. By reusing discharged water and recovering resources, it also contributes to the circular economy.
