FER-PLAY

FER-PLAY is a Horizon Europe project that facilitates the uptake of alternative fertilisers to protect ecosystems, decrease the European Union’s SBU dependency on fertiliser imports, promote circularity and improve soil health.

The project consortium brings together twelve partners and, key representatives along the value chains, including alternative fertiliser producers, farmers’ associations (end-users), local administrations, impact assessment experts and communication specialists.

The project will identify and assess the potential and impacts of alternative fertilisers produced from secondary raw materials, such as manure. This will raise awareness of their multiple benefits, in order to promote the large-scale production and application of those with the best environmental, social, economic and technical performance benefits.
