CARDIMED

Climate Adaptation and Resilience Demonstrated In the MEDiterranean region.

CARDIMED

The CARDIMED project aims to develop a solution to strengthen the capacity to adapt to climate change in the Mediterranean region, coordinating individual and collective efforts of different regions and communities in different countries and continents. To this end, a digital infrastructure will be implemented to help collect and evaluate open data for all actors involved in the initiative, within the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) value chain.

In addition, comprehensive modeling tools will be used, focusing on the link between water, energy, food and ecosystems. This will help to understand the interactions of NBS, which is essential to address socio-ecological challenges and other issues related to valuation and underinvestment in NBS.

The initiative will demonstrate 47 solutions in different territories, related to 83 interventions and support units that address the challenges of climate change and circularity.
