ENDORSE

Transnational strategy for phosphorus recovery and its valorisation as fertiliser

ENDORSE

The main objective of ENDORSE, an INTERREG SUDOE project, is to design and implement a transnational strategy for the recovery of phosphorus salts from organic waste rich in this nutrient, promoting their subsequent use as fertilisers through more sustainable agricultural practices to ensure food security and the long-term protection of natural resources.

The project is committed to innovating in the recovery process through the cascade precipitation of different phosphorus salts, a more robust procedure with lower operating costs compared to others that precipitate a single salt (such as struvite). Furthermore, the intelligent and sustainable application of the phosphorus salts obtained will allow for controlled release, maximising their bioavailability, preserving soil health and minimising environmental impact.
