Cetaqua is revolutionising the process of water treatment by implementing the circular economy, developing processes and technologies that turn treatment plants into biofactories.
We are striving to maximise the value of resources by promoting an energy-neutral model that contributes to zero waste and eliminates emerging pollutants, microplastics and other substances. We thus promote the recovery and reuse of resources during the production of reclaimed water, the treatment of urban and industrial wastewater, and other waste streams.
We take part in R&D&I projects aimed at achieving transformative outcomes. These are some of them:
Estudi de predictibilitat d’episodis hidrometeorològics extrems i de remoció en massa en el riu Maipo.
Prototyping and virtual piloting with freely available software using CFD modelling.
We are investigating waste that can be used in co-digestion processes with sewage sludge to increase biogas production.
A simple and innovative technology that leads to major improvements in operation, effluent quality and the environment.
Diagnostics on the saline networks in the Pontevedra wastewater collection network.
An economical and sustainable solution for processing caustic soda in refineries.
Accelerating water intelligence on Europe’s coast through Living Labs.
