6G-VERSUS

Analyzing the impact of 6G on industries

Project website

6G-VERSUS

The 6G-VERSUS project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims to test advanced 6G technologies and analyze their technical, social, and environmental impact across various industries. To achieve this, it will develop an innovative 6G-enabled application framework and conduct trials to assess the performance of artificial intelligence, networks, and applications.

These technologies will be tested across six 6G platforms distributed throughout Europe —in Bulgaria, Finland, France, Greece, Portugal, and Spain— where their technical performance, social and environmental impact, and potential to create new sustainable and competitive business models will be evaluated.

In Andalusia there are two use cases focused on the agriculture industry: the first one is a wastewater treatment plant in Roquetas de Mar, and the second one is the Experimental Station La Mayora, operated by CSIC, in Algarrobo. The common goal is to apply 6G connectivity, last-generation artificial intelligence algorithms, drones, and AGV vehicles to ensure that the generated water used for irrigation reaches the highest standards of quality.
