Predictive models and demand management for its implementation in the Utilities sector, for a digital transformation adapted to the "prosumer".

MODEM: Predictive models and demand management

15.11.2018

The MODEM project, in the framework of the RIS3CAT 2016 Call, has as main objective to develop and validate predictive models and demand management systems for its implementation in the Utilities sector. This will allow to achieve a more sustainable and efficient resource management, to allow the digital transformation towards a context of smartmeters and intelligence in networks, and to generate service strategies adapted to the needs of the client-prosumer.

MODEM is a collaborative project coordinated by NEDGIA (Grupo Naturgy) with the participation of Advanced Solutions, Cetaqua, ABS, BSC, EURECAT and CS2AC. Cetaqua (Technology Water Centre) provides the vision of needs and technological challenges of the water sector, sharing their knowledge in relation to the management of water demand, with the technologies and analytical models currently used for demand prediction and consumption detection anomalies. It will contribute to the implementation of the solutions developed in the scope of the project to improve customer management in the utilites sector.

MODEM Project, with code COMRDI16-1-0057, is cofunded by ACCIÓ and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the RIS3CAT Utilities 4.0 Community (Catalonia).

Project

RIS3CAT MODEM, Predictive models and demand management

Duration

April 2018 – December 2020

Coordinator

Nedgia (Grupo Naturgy)

Project partners

Cetaqua Barcelona, SUEZ Advanced Solutions, Barcelona Supercomputing Center, EURECAT and CS2AC-Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
